This innovative site, (based on the development of the unique Hazard Preparation Pocket Card pictured below), included information on emergency resources throughout the state of Hawai`i.
The informative and educational information provided communities help for preparing for natural hazards, mitigation of certain dangers, and prevention of unnecessary loss of life.
The production of these “Hazard Preparation Pocket Cards” is part of a continuing collaboration of efforts led by Dr. Walter Dudley, Professor Emeritis, University of Hawaiʻi at Hilo, NOAA, the University of Hawaiʻi at Hilo, the UH Hilo Conference Center and Sustainability Education provider, Green Collar Technologies.
